Is AA the only way to maintain sobriety?

I think going working the program is everything whether you are in Alcoholics Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous, Narcotics anonymous or other 12 step group. Once you have the program in your life then it provides you have the playbook not only how to get sober but how to stay sober. Many people, when they leave a drug rehab or drug treatment centre never get into the 12-step programs and end up relapsing. For me, now that I have the 12-steps in my life, I still stay away from people, places and things. I am a single man and so I need to socialize as isolation is deadly. Before corona, I used sobriety apps for many things as I make sure when looking for people I am there to meet sober people and for my single life I use dating sites for sober singles and sober dating app. There are also sobriety apps that show sober events, sober travel and all these other things I want to do that I was doing before COVID crisis hit. But it all starts with AA meetings near me and having a foundation. Once you have that in your life, I would suggest spreading your wings and find all these other amazing things that you can do sober living.
